Tennessee Recovery Navigators

The mission of the Tennessee Recovery Navigators is to assist in the local emergency rooms and emergency departments. The role of a Navigator is to provide services to E.R’s / E.D’s for individual’s that are experiencing any kind of withdrawal symptoms, as well as patients that have experienced an overdose from substance abuse/accidental. 

  • To reduce stigma in the community related to the disease of addiction.

  • Go out in the community and provide educational workshops and forums to educate the community about opioid addiction.

  • To be a resource for recovery programs

  • To provide enhanced follow ups with individuals that the Navigator has come in contact with and provide referrals to treatment and/or recovery resources within the community, or surrounding area.

Weekly Activities

We’re on-call 24 hours, 7 days a week and provide services to all the surrounding Hospital’s: Methodist University, North, South and Germantown, St. Frances Bartlett and Park as well as Regional One. 

 

Once a month we go into different police precincts to make them aware of the services we provide and to get information on hot spots in the community.
